2018 Art In Bloom

The MDS is looking to sponsor up to 2 members who would like to participate as exhibitors at the 2018 Art In Bloom at the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
At the December General Meeting, Sue Bagge discussed the Art in Bloom festival held annually each spring at the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
Art In Bloom is a four-day spring festival that is free and open to the public and exhibits imaginative floral interpretations of selected works of art from Mia’s permanent collection created by more than 150 commercial florists and individual floral artists whose interpretations are on view next to the works of art that inspired them. This one of a kind experience fills the museum with floral fragrance and features lectures, demonstrations, special events, and free docent tours of the displays. Since 1984, Art in Bloom has been our most popular fundraiser and largest volunteer effort.
The MDS membership voted to sponsor up to two individuals who would like to take part as exhibitors at the 2018 festival. Sue Bagge and Cindy Soule are veteran exhibitors at the festival and are sponsored by other organizations already. Both Sue and Cindy are willing to help mentor anyone interested in taking part as an exhibitor. The MDS sponsorship money can be used to purchase flowers and supplies for use in your exhibit.
The deadline for submitting an entry with MDS sponsorship is due January 10th! Please contact Sue Bagge if you are interested.
