Join Us on Saturday, June 20th for the MDS Annual Potluck Picnic & Plant Swap

Please join us on Saturday, June 20, from noon–4:30 p.m. at the beautiful Minnesota Landscape Arboretum for our annual Potluck Picnic!

The MDS has reserved a shelter in the Margot Picnic Shelter Area at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, located just beyond the main parking lots and before the Learning Center. The rental fee has been covered by MDS, so admission is free for all MDS members—simply let the staff at the gate know you are attending the MDS picnic.

Note for non-members: Arboretum admission is $25 per person at the gate, so consider purchasing a MDS Household Membership for $25—it pays for itself in just one visit! https://www.minnesotadahliasociety.org/join-mds

We encourage you to come early and spend time at the Dahlia Trial Garden on Three Mile Drive, across from the Chinese Garden. Our work teams will be there starting at 9:00 a.m., offering a great opportunity to observe, learn, or lend a hand. We’ll also host an informal plant swap, so if you have extra dahlias to share, please bring them along to trade or give away—you may go home with a new favorite!

The enclosed shelter includes electrical outlets for crock pots and serving dishes, along with seating for up to 80 guests, plus additional outdoor picnic space.

Please bring:

• A dish to share

• Your own picnic utensils and serving supplies

• Any extra dahlias for the plant swap

Come enjoy a wonderful afternoon at the Arboretum—connect with fellow dahlia enthusiasts and explore the gardens.
