Article V. Duties of Officers

Section 2 – The First Vice President shall assume the duties of the President in his/her absence and will be responsible for activities involving the Minnesota Dahlia Society outside normal society functions. Such activities will include but are not limited to all dahlia shows and exhibitions sponsored by the Minnesota Dahlia Society. The First Vice President shall be assisted in the performance of these duties by persons/committees as appointed by the Board.

Section 11 – The President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and two directors shall be elected for staggered two-year terms, with three elected one year and four elected the next.

General duties:

Assume the duties of the President in their absence

1. Preside over general meeting

2. Preside over board meeting

3. Preside over Nominating Committee

4. Preside over Audit Committee

5. Help the president to write announcements on the website for topics like nominations for board and committee positions, etc.

6. Write any emails (using MailChimp) to make announcements.
