Our results are already published on the website, at: 2019 Show Results h

Visit Jerry Hass
We visited the dahlia farm of Jerry Hass in Montrose on our garden tour earlier this year but there was not as many blooms as we would have liked. Yesterday, Kathy and I revisited it again to see it in all its glory. We even ran into John Enstrom and his family there. Jerry asked that we invite anyone that saw it on the tour back again. Just look him up in your directory and give him a call first. Since the season is nearly over, he is also very generous in allowing people to

History of the ADS
“WANTED: AN AMERICAN DAHLIA SOCIETY” In the October 1914 issue of Florist’s Exchange, its Editor, J. Harrison Dick, wrote an article with the above title. This suggestion was immediately acted upon. An active, enterprising, wholesale florist, one Richard Vincent, Jr., operating a big stand of greenhouses in White Marsh, MD, and ardent dahlia grower, read the editorial and started calling some of his colleagues and customers. He asked them to go to New York and meet with J.
